Celebrating 52 years of exceptional service to Vermont residents
B&R Electric is a third generation family business celebrating 50 years of exceptional service in Shelburne, Vermont and neighboring regions. Started by Rinald Precourt in 1972, B&R is named after Rinald and his wife, Beatrice. Rinald initially worked nights and weekends getting B&R Electric underway while working as a driver’s education teacher at CVU high school in Hinesburg, and Burlington high school during the day.
In 1972, while in high school, Mike began work for his parents at B&R Electric. After graduating, he served four years in the Army before being honorably discharged. By 1983, Mike had graduated from Keene State College in New Hampshire with a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Arts Instruction. He then returned to Vermont, became a licensed electrician and started working full-time for B&R Electric. Mike passed away June 5th, 2013, leaving his wife Mindy, their three children and a large hole in the company. He was instrumental in B&R Electric, Inc. and will be forever missed.
Brian started working for his parent's at B&R in 1972. He became a Vermont licensed electrician, graduating from Vermont Technical College with an Associate's degree in 1982. Brian also earned a degree in Architecture from the New York Institute of Technology in 1984. He and his wife Alison live in Shelburne with their three children.
